Terms of Service
By using Lytesub (lytesub.com) you agree to the terms below. These are a plain-language summary; we may add a more formal version as the product matures.
1. What Lytesub is
Lytesub is a peer-to-peer marketplace that lets people share existing subscription plans (Netflix, DSTV, Spotify and similar). We don't own or resell the underlying subscriptions — hosts list plans they already pay for, and members pay them for a slot.
2. Your account
You must be 18+ to host a group. You must verify your BVN or NIN before hosting or joining. You're responsible for keeping your password safe.
3. Payments and escrow
All payments are processed by Flutterwave. Slot payments are held in escrow for the full 30-day cycle and only release to the host on day 30 if there is no open dispute (or earlier via dispute resolution). Lytesub charges a 5% host fee and a 2%buyer fee, both added on top of the host's per-slot ask — never deducted from host payouts.
4. Plan invites — no password sharing
Lytesub only lists official family/team plans where access is granted by individual invite. Hosts must send each buyer's official invite within 48 hours of the listing filling. Passwords and login credentials are never shared through Lytesub. Members must use the plan in accordance with the underlying service's own terms (e.g. Netflix's household policy).
5. Disputes and refunds
A dispute freezes the host's escrowed funds instantly. Hosts have 72 hours to appeal; if they stay silent the buyer is refunded automatically. Once a host appeals, the buyer has 48 hours to accept or escalate to platform arbitration. Rulings can be a full release, full refund, or a prorated split.
6. Renewals
By joining a group, you authorise auto-renewal of your slot at the agreed cadence (monthly by default). Failed cards trigger a 48-hour retry; further failure relists the slot.
7. Acceptable use
No fraudulent payments, no impersonation, no shared accounts outside the group, no using the service to circumvent the underlying provider's terms in ways we deem abusive.
8. Termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can close your account at any time from your profile.
9. Liability
Lytesub provides the marketplace and escrow infrastructure but is not a party to the underlying subscription. We're not liable for service outages, content availability, or actions taken by the underlying provider.
